JADON CAL
Jadon Cal Fitzpatrick was born in Santa Monica, California to Jodi Knotts, an actress, and Jim Fitzpatrick, an actor, writer, and director. He is of Irish, English and Spanish ancestry.
Through experience in plays and classes growing up, he discovered his passion for storytelling at an early age. In the early 2000’s, his family relocated to Clearwater, Florida from Los Angeles, where they shot “Adventure Scouts”, Jadon’s first lead role. It was here that Jadon learned the principles of hard work in a small town.
After high school, in 2015, Jadon briefly studied at Florida Gulf Coast University before dropping out to again pursue acting in Los Angeles. He grew familiar with his hometown of Los Angeles, working with various modeling agencies and acting in a few TV shows(Starwood U; Dual Arrangements; BuzzFeed Murder Mysteries) and short films. Most of his class time was spent at the Lounge Theater with Sal Landi.
In the summer of 2018, Jadon took a trip with a few friends on the road, to renovate a van into a home. After that trip, he realized that he could do anything he so desired with a lot of hard work and persistence. Thus, he began the journey of creating his own films, not only to learn the craft of film-making, but to discover himself deeper as a performer on camera.
At the beginning of 2019, he once again left Los Angeles and relocated to Tampa. He began creating short films and creative videos, as well as acting in class with Kathy Laughlin at the Performer’s Studio Workshop. Jadon began working on all sides of the camera, doing local advertisements and even starting his own DocuSeries following two professional BMX Bikers titled, “Ride or Die”, which can be found on YouTube along side his short films.
After “Prom Night”(an early 2020 short film), Jadon started pre-production on an independent feature film titled, “Mind Games” with local filmmakers… Writing, location scouting, casting, all of the above. They filmed the psychological thriller in June of 2020 using all of the resources they had to pull it off successfully, and the film released in July of 2021.
Over the span of 2020 and into the first few months of 2021, Jadon’s career continued to accelerate. After producing “Mind Games” and booking five other feature films as an actor, he began pre-production on another independent film titled, “Soulmates” in February of 2021.
He also penned an original screenplay titled, “Off Rip” throughout 2020 and 2021, that has been in pre-production since.
As Jadon has progressed to producing his own films, he began to find his voice and the types of stories he yearned to tell, most of which have been “coming of age” stories with a slight supernatural touch or metaphorical edge.
One of his biggest fascinations as a performer is the ability to become unrecognizable from project to project. In studying the greats, he found a deep interest in actors who have mastered this such as Joaquin Phoenix, Christian Bale, Willem Dafoe, and Robert Pattinson among others.
He’s taken the reigns of his career by writing complex characters for himself to play, and has even learned new skills for recent roles, such as Muay Thai, Guitar, and Skimboarding.
His unorthodox style of storytelling has bled into his acting, and his goals are to continue to tell stories in compelling ways and explore the depths of humanity to the fullest.
